WHAT IS A PSYCHOLOGICAL/PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT

A psychological assessment is used to determine your child’s learning profile including strengths and weaknesses. Assessments are completed using interviews, standardized tests, review of your child’s history, social-emotional testing, and questionnaire data. The results are formulated and a comprehensive written report and verbal feedback are provided. A psychological assessment may be requested to determine your child’s specific difficulties and to provide recommendations and further treatment directions.

Child and Adolescent Assessments are offered in these primary areas:
  • Learning Difficulties (including NVLD)
  • Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/ADD)
  • Giftedness
  • Overall Cognitive Profile
  • Social-emotional concerns including anxiety, depression and externalizing behaviours
  • Vocational Planning
